Our approach
We work toward the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA as the practical benchmark for new and updated public pages.
Current measures
- Semantic headings and landmarks support page navigation.
- A keyboard-accessible skip link leads to primary content.
- Images require descriptive alternative text unless they are purely decorative.
- Links and controls use meaningful labels and visible keyboard focus.
- Layouts adapt to smaller screens and text enlargement.
- Colour and typography are selected for readable contrast.
Known limitations
Older articles, third-party embeds, documents or externally supplied media may not yet meet every accessibility target. We prioritise fixes that block access to news or essential site functions.

Email accessibility@headlinedecoded.com with the page URL, a description of the difficulty, the browser or assistive technology used and the format you need. We will make a reasonable effort to provide access or an alternative.
